At 21:25 hours, the WRFD was dispatched to 300 Avalon Drive for an activated fire alarm. While enroute, the Wood-Ridge Police Department advised units they were receiving calls reporting smoke in the building. Companies arrived to find a fire in an apartment bathroom that was extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system. There were no injuries. Companies remained on scene checking for fire extension and other hazards associated with the sprinkler activation.

We were assisted on scene by the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the WR Fire Prevention Bureau.

All units were available at 23:21 hours.
