On December 6, 1894, the Borough of Wood-Ridge was incorporated. Formed from portions of Bergen Township, a referendum was held on December 5th. 96 ballots were cast, 56 votes for incorporation, 40 against. The Mayor & Council was organized on January 1, 1895. We are proud to be a part of such a great town!
