Exempt Firefighter Robert Eschert answers his final alarm

It is with heavy hearts the WRFD announces the passing of Exempt Firefighter Robert Eschert, 55, on March 27, 2026. Bob was a Wood-Ridge fireman from August 1994 to April 2006 and was assigned badge number 25. He was awarded two commendations for bravery during his career. Rest In Peace Brother.
