On May 20th, the WRFD Exempt Association held its annual memorial service paying tribute to the members that have gone before us. The service was led by Exempt Association President Thomas Bischoff, Jr. Chief of Department Nicholas Meglio, Fire Commissioner Phil Romero and Councilman Ezio Altamura all spoke at the service. Thirty-five memorial wreaths were presented and the names of the 139 members listed on the monument were read. Amazing Grace was played on the bagpipes by Ex-Chief Ron Phillips, Jr., Firefighter Daniel O'Beirne and WRFD friend Paddy Martins. The event was held indoors due to the inclement weather, but the turnout was great with over forty family and friends in the audience. The service as also live streamed on our Facebook page.
